Only way to get it out of the loop is to run the following in a bat file that i found after searching the web to reset Windows Update - it will then go back to checking for updates and then fail the upgrade again and get stuck in the were sorry loopĮcho Checking the wuauserv service status. They all go "Preparing for update" and then download the update - and then just all fail with the follwong text: My Windows 10 machines call to WSUS and pick the update up however none of them will update. WSUS has downloaded the update to the server. I have approved and published to my Windows 10 computer group the latest 1511 build released to WSUS for the en-us VL version. WSUS is serving updates to Windows 10 clients fine. All my domain machines now run Windows 10 Enterprise VL - all the original 10240 build.
